Morrisons and the Sunday Mail are looking for an aspiring Scottish chef who wants to taste success.

One talented individual will have the chance to put their name to the menu at the prestigious Great Scot Awards and dine on their exquisite creations with 750 other VIPS.

If you are a keen cook, aged between 16 and 24 we want you to write a menu that expresses what is great about Scottish cooking. Using seasonal, nationally sourced produce, we are looking for three dishes fit for the nation that add the wow factor!

This is a once in a lifetime chance to get tips from professional chefs, show your imagination and culinary skills, whilst demonstrating what is great about Scottish food.

Using fresh produce from Morrisons that is both seasonal and Scottish the menu will be judged in a cook off between 3 finalists at the Jefferson Restaurant in Kilmarnock.
Judging the competition will be, the Sunday Mail’s resident chef and Jefferson Restaurant proprietor, Michael Kilkie, our Sunday Mail editor Allan Rennie, David Gardner, Morrisons Director Scotland and the top chef at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel, James Murphy.

David Gardner, Morrisons Director Scotland: “We are searching the whole of Scotland for a young cook who can produce a starter, main course and desert that epitomises the very best of Scottish produce and cooking.”

Our editor Alan Rennie is looking for a, “a truly delectable menu, to reflect the importance of the occasion.”
